Job Location:

The daily place of work for this position is the ROMP warehouse located at 1474 South Acoma Street, Denver, CO 80223. Travel will not be required for this position.

Background:

The Range of Motion Project (ROMP) is an international nonprofit organization with the mission of ensuring access to high-quality prosthetic care for underserved people, improving their mobility and independence. ROMP provides prosthetic care and community-based rehabilitation to patients via permanent operations in Guatemala, Ecuador, and the United States. These operations use prosthetic components collected through the Components for a Cause (C4C) Program, ROMP’s nationwide prosthetic component recycling program. This program is headquartered at the ROMP warehouse in Denver, where donated components are received, quality-checked, documented, organized, picked, packed, and shipped to ROMP field locations in Guatemala and Ecuador.

Position Purpose:

The purpose of the Warehouse and Inventory Assistant position is to assist the US Program Associate in effectively operating the ROMP warehouse and inventory system.

Reporting Structure:

The WIA will report directly to the USPA. The USPA will train the WIA upon starting in this position. The WIA will attend two meetings per week with the USPA. The WIA will also attend other Programs/Development meetings as authorized by the USPA. The WIA and USPA will communicate as necessary throughout the week in-person and via messages/emails/calls.

Job Description:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following activities:

  • Identifying and sorting donated prosthetic components upon their arrival to the ROMP warehouse.
  • Quality-checking donated prosthetic components according to ROMP Quality

Management guidelines.

  • Documenting donated prosthetic components in the ROMP digital inventory management system.
  • Labeling donated prosthetic components with their functional activity level and donor source.
  • Organizing donated prosthetic components on the shelves of the ROMP warehouse.
  • Maintaining order in the ROMP warehouse amidst numerous incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Picking and packing donated prosthetic components for shipment to ROMP clinical operations in Guatemala, Ecuador, and the United States.
  • Coordinating the pick-up or drop-off of outgoing shipments.
  • Creating shipping labels for donors seeking to ship donated prosthetic components to the ROMP warehouse.
  • Writing thank-you notes to component donors.
  • Assisting in obtaining quality form completion.
  • Assisting in periodic inventories of the warehouse.
  • Performing additional tasks and duties assigned by the USPA.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Willing to be based in Denver, Colorado.
  • Willing to work part-time (20 hours per week).
  • Willing to take direction from supervisor.
  • Willing to put mission before self.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English. Spanish is a major plus but not required.
  • Excellent ability to work both in a team and independently.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Excellent ability to follow processes.
  • Excellent ability to keep to a timeline/plan and to deal with uncertainty and change.
  • Deep interest/passion for human mobility and desire to grow within the organization.

Start Date:

No sooner than 1 February 2023, no later than 31 March 2023.

Duration:

Permanent.
