POSITION PURPOSE – WHAT YOU WILL DO
As Warehouse Coordinator with Lake Champlain Chocolates, you’ll be responsible for moving inventory and restocking finished goods. An important element of this process includes recording product locations & updating our system when product moves.
THE WHEN AND WHERE
You will be guaranteed 40 hours each week in our clean, vibrant factory space in Williston, Vermont. Overtime and some weekend hours may be required during our peak seasons. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AND CONTRIBUTIONS
- Performs daily operation and safety check of LCC equipment (pallet jack, forklift) at the beginning of each shift and completes proper paperwork.
- Ensures that established policies, regulations, & safety procedures are followed. Follows all safety guidelines for equipment.
- Receives finished and WIP product from packaging and factory. Verifies counts and puts away onto racking with the forklift.
- Assigns locations of pallets in racking system and keeps system software updated.
- Follows product rotation procedures when replenishing finished goods (first in, first out).
- Communicates any shortage or stock outs to manager.
- Communicates any quality issues to receiving manager or quality assurance representative.
- Loads and unloads trucks using appropriate equipment. Assists receiving by unloading and verifying goods and paperwork.
- Informs receiving manager of incidences, process and equipment problems, or mechanical issues with company equipment.
- Maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment.
- Maintains a valid Vermont driver’s license.
- Ensures paperwork & systems transactions are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Communicates in an effective manner by utilizing accepted business practices in a courteous and professional manner to provide timely and accurate responses and service-oriented offers of assistance.
- Receives and maintains certification to operate electric pallet jack and forklift.
- Assists with monthly inventory counts.
- Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
- Performs other duties and assignments as directed by management. Assists other departments as needed.
- Maintains basic knowledge of computer software and equipment including Syspro and Easy Label.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Must be able to work at a desk and use all job-related computer hardware and software.
- Must be able to exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, 30 lbs. frequently, and 10 lbs. constantly.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
- High School graduate or equivalent; a clean driving record, maintains a valid Vermont driver’s license.
PLUSSES:
- Fork Lift certification
