Job description
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Keep warehouse areas neat and organized at all times
- Pull material from the warehouse
- Load material from staging onto trailers in a safe and organized manner
- Use Warehouse Management System to read descriptions, colors, part numbers and then match accordingly
- May be required to operate forklift once trained per company protocols.
- Work shifts or scheduled overtime as required
- May be asked to rotate responsibilities within the plant to maintain or learn new skills
- Work within a group or individually as assigned when given a task by a supervisor or group leader
- Other duties as assigned.
Hourly pay starts between $18.03 - 19.35/hr. 12 hr. shifts (Day)
Maintain safety standards within the policy guidelines in a safe and orderly manner. • using the Warehouse management system. . Must be able to safely load product, secure product for transport without causing damage using the proper placement of the material, straps, and airbags. • May be required to operate forklift within the policy guidelines in a safe and efficient manner.. • He /she is Responsible for filling out Daily Forklift/Sweeper checklist using our equipment management system or a paper checklist (if applicable) before operating a forklift/sweeper. • Demonstrate the ability to complete the Daily Forklift Checklist before operating a forklift. .
Requirements
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to read, speak, and write English
Must be able to distinguish between colors.
Must be able to hear forklifts traveling in forward or reverse direction.
Range of Motion: Full repetitive bending and lifting.
Lifting Capacity: Must be able to lift 75-pound box chest high.
Sitting/Standing: Continuous standing, walking and moving daily.
Safe and ergonomic bending also regularly expected throughout shift.
TECHNOLOGY
Basic computer skills required (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc)
Additional Requirements
OSHA Requirements:
Standard plant safety rules
Lift truck training
Personal Protective Equipment required.
Specific License Required: Material handling forklift license.
