POSITION: Water Jet Operator

DESCRIPTION: Responsible for the cutting of sheet metal aluminum parts utilizing a Water Jet per Customer’s engineering drawings and specifications.

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum two years’ operating a Flow Water Jet in an aerospace setting
• Ability to read blueprints and decipher drawings

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
• Familiar with safety standards and PPE utilized in a manufacturing setting
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to work overtime when needed
• Ability to read, write and understand English
• Proficient in blue print reading
• Knowledge of hand tools and precision measuring tools, such as calipers.
• Ability to stay on task with minimal supervision
• Strong communication and problem solving skills
• Detail oriented

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Verify specific material call outs on traveler
• Load machine with work pieces
• Confirm profile, pilot holes and cut outs are to Customer drawing
• Verify accuracy of job/workmanship when performing job
• Maintain specifications by observing operations and replacing worn tools as needed
• Perform waterjet material handling safety procedures
• Adhere to all quality assurance procedures and processes
• Maintain specifications by trouble shooting processes, detecting malfunctions and taking measurements
• Accomplish organizational goals by accepting ownership for all new and different requests
• Explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
• Meet production goals in terms of cycle time, quantity, and quality
• Miscellaneous tasks as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
