Purpose of role
The Ad Ops Manager will be responsible for all ad campaign management. The ideal candidate has proven experience with ad trafficking, reporting, and creative troubleshooting. In addition, the ideal candidate for this role is career-driven and eager to join a sharp Ad Sales team.
Key responsibilities & accountabilities
- Implementation and management of US based advertising campaigns to ensure timely and consistent delivery
- Understanding campaign-specific KPI’s used to shape optimization priorities and tactics
- Comprehension of complete product portfolio and specifications/capabilities associated with each
- Familiarity with DFP campaign management and inventory management protocols
- Proactive daily analysis and campaign optimization
- Manage and be accountable for billing reconciliation and reporting
- Perform the day-to-day ad placement, scheduling and updates for customers, including rich media ad placements
- Self-manage tasks / schedule for effective and efficient time management
- Troubleshoot targeting issues, resolve any traffic issues and reconcile discrepancies
- Traffic on all mobile devices, including iPhone, iPad and android
- Test of all ad creative for compliance with site specifications as well as functionality
- Verify all targeting and technical integrations for campaigns
- Work with the sales team on soliciting creative from agencies/clients per established specs
- Partner with Ad Ops management, sales team, and marketing teams to troubleshoot delivery issues and optimize campaign performance based on client goals
- Generate and review weekly advertiser campaign reports to track performance against guarantee
- Lead the monthly billing reconciliation process by ensuring accurate delivery information is updated prior to invoicing
- Work closely with account managers to ensure a smooth transition of pre-sale responsibilities to the post-sales group upon receiving insertion orders
- Enter and manage insertion orders within internal sales operations systems

Knowledge & experience
- 2 - 3 years minimum of online ad trafficking experience
- Understanding of ad-serving technologies, particularly DART for Advertisers & Publishers (DFA/DFP)
- Understanding of booking order systems
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Flash, and JavaScript
- Knowledge of 3rd party advertising tags (Mediamind, Atlas, and Doubleclick etc)
- BA/BS preferred

- Able to interact comfortably with both clients and other internal departments
- Ideal candidate is someone who possesses the ability to take initiative and drive projects with minimal supervision
