POSITION OVERVIEW – Wind Performance Specialist
The Wind Performance Specialist is responsible for data management, analysis, and KPI calculation relevant to the wind fle to identify the main causes of lost production and provide ist is also responsible to lead and support the operational efficiency process for the wind technology, with the aim of identifying actions to improve performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide data management and analysis related Generation, Lost Production, Events and Outages, with the goal of identifying the main causes of lost production and providing feedback to the top management, execution teams, and technical support.
- Support the implementation of Lost Production calculation models for our wind plants
- Provide calculation, monitoring, reporting and analysis of O&M technical KPIs, complying with deadlines set by our Global Unit, with the goal of explaining gaps between actual versus budgeted production and availability.
- Provide resource and plant self-consumptions analysis.
- Perform alarms and failures analysis, providing feedback to execution teams and technical support.
- Provide Benchmark Analysis with other EGP Countries and Peers, identifying and sharing best practices with our Global Unit and Solar community.
- Provide lost energy calculations as required for reimbursable curtailment, insurance claims or contractual requirements.
- Provide performance reports to investors and customers, complying with deadlines set by the respective contracts.
- Support the Production Budget and Industrial Plan processes for the Solar/BESS/Geo plants.
- Define, establish, and monitor, in cooperation with Maintenance Unit, action plans and improvement projects as results of the analysis.
- Provide, in cooperation with Operations and Maintenance units, structured feedback to Engineering and Construction Department.
- Implement Quality and continuous improvement programs.
- Point of reference for the Global Wind O&M operational efficiency process.
- Interface with Control Room, Global Digital Solutions, Operations and Maintenance groups for any issue relevant to analysis and action plans.
- Support the performance and fault analysis of components for end of warranty claims preparation.
- Provide Lost Energy Calculations for Insurance Claim purposes.
- Define, establish, and monitor, in cooperation with Maintenance Units, action plans and improvement projects as results of the analysis.
- Provide data management, analysis and reporting related to industrial control technical KPIs like Generation, Lost Production, Energy Availability and Outages.
- Support monthly production analysis for the preparation of Business Review.
- Manages development of annual plant production to support preparation of budgets, forecasts and Industrial business plan.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of renewable energy technology and energy generation business.
- Advanced MS Excel proficiency (pivot charts, SQL, VBA macros)
- Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools like Power BI, Access, SharePoint, Alteryx, PI, and SAS
- Experience in statistical analysis, methods, and tools to identify performance outliers.
- 5-7 years of related experience
- Good knowledge and understanding of SCADA technologies
- Knowledge and technical experience in the wind technology and energy generation business
- Ability to integrate contributes from different areas/Countries, and to work in a multicultural & multinational team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Availability for occasional domestic and international travels
- Strong initiative and drive for high achievement and continuous improvement

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering or data analytics preferred) is required; Master’s is preferred
