Activar Industrial Products Group (AIPG) manufactures and distributes thousands of products. Our products are unique and so are our Coiling Operators! We are currently hiring an experienced Wire Forming Technician/Coiling Operator for our Forest Lake, MN location.

Hours: Typical work week Mon-Thurs. 6am- 4:30pm or Tues.-Fri. 6 am- 4:30 pm, 3-day weekends every weekend! Full-time or Part-time we offer Flexible Schedules and are willing to work with your availability.

Weekly opportunities often available to pick up additional overtime hours!
Pay: Up to $23/hr. DOE, paid weekly!

Our Wire Forming Technician’s/Coiling Operators are responsible for coiling set-ups and operations.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
· Versatile in all wire ranges.
· Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints, schematic diagrams, and shop orders/jobs to determine appropriate set-up, production method, and sequence of operation.
· Understand spring design and production applications
· Meets daily production and quality goals
· Able to design unique tooling to expand machine capabilities
· Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
· Report immediately to supervisor/lead/manager any and all problems, which may affect safety, equipment, tooling, and/or quality.
· Acquire and maintain a full working knowledge of all processes
· Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
· Adhere to all company standards and policies.
· Conduct himself/herself in a professional manner in accordance with company guidelines.
· Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Proficient on all CNC and mechanical coilers
  • Ability to operate machines including, but not limited to bar code reader, computer terminal, other electronic devices, and forklift.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications and the capacity to learn new systems.
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills and effective organizational skills.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Tenacity in overcoming obstacles while maintaining productive and positive working relationships.
  • Ability to execute in a rapidly changing fast paced environment that requires strong teamwork.
  • Understanding of all tools, gages, equipment, and other various instruments used to perform position.
  • Basic ability to understand blueprints, schematics, and instrumentation diagrams.
  • Skill in performing accurate arithmetic functions involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; using decimals, percentages, fractions, and ratios.

· Strong mechanical aptitude, math and measurement skills, and a desire to develop a career in manufacturing

· Understanding of all tools, gages, equipment, and other various instruments used to perform position.

· Familiarity operating machines including, but not limited to bar code reader, computer terminal, other electronic devices, and forklift.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications and the capacity to learn new systems.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required:
· Strong mechanical aptitude, hardworking and willingness to learn.
· Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification.
· Knowledgeable in Wire forming

Preferred:
· Previous experience in a manufacturing/production setting.
· Specific material knowledge.

The employee may be required to work with hazardous materials. The employee may be exposed to hot surfaces, hot air, electrical hazards, and flames. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works with moving machinery and occasionally in outside weather.
