Evans & Dixon is currently seeking a Paralegal with 3+ years of experience to work in the area of Workers' Compensation defense to work on-site (non-remote role) in our Chicago office. This is a demanding and fast-paced position for an ambitious and self motivated person. The ideal candidate must be responsible, have the ability to multitask, possess the ability to organize and maintain for multiple attorneys. The ideal candidate must have excellent technical, interpersonal, and client-related skills as we are a full service client-centered firm. The candidate must have a creative and diplomatic approach to problem solving and a keen sense of organization.

Job Requirements

• Investigate the facts of a case
• Be comfortable conducting research on relevant caselaw, and regulations
• Organize and maintain documents in a paper or electronic filing systems
• Draft correspondence and legal documents
• Prepare affidavits and other formal statements
• Assist in preparing exhibits, briefs, appeals and filing as necessary with courts and opposing counsel
• Call clients, witnesses, lawyers, and outside vendors to schedule interviews, meetings, and depositions
• Experience with Illinois and Missouri law

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, the candidate should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook and general proficiency and ability to learn various software applications.
