This role is designed to expand the capacity of the Integration and Wellness Team to provide educational opportunities to refugee and other immigrant communities which will empower participants to flourish in their new community and expand their economic opportunities. The essential functions are in planning and preparing content of learning opportunities, facilitating logistics, and training and supporting volunteers who are also involved in the provision of learning opportunities. The member would also take part in goal setting with participants, data entry and analysis, and will also contribute to reporting.

World Relief Spokane is a non-profit organization that serves refugees and other vulnerable immigrants with a variety of services. The office works with with these program participants from their first day in the United States for many years to come as they adjust to life in America. As part of the mission of the office, the office works to support participants with services which include cultural orientation and topics frequently requested such as financial literacy and English for Special Purposes. The Education Specialist member will support participants with education opportunities by helping with the planning and coordination of activities in accordance with the needs identified by the community. This member will have the opportunity to walk alongside refugees and other immigrants as they identify goals and remove barriers to economic opportunity in their new home. This includes a great deal of communication, coordination, organization, listening and coaching.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $2,785.90 per month
