ABOUT THE COMPANY: At OptimuMedicine Urgent Care, we provide high-quality, compassionate care to our patients in a timely manner. We are now bringing this experience to Pahrump to assist patients with easier access to care, top level medical providers, and 5 STAR customer service.

POSITION SUMMARY: The X-Ray Technician is an essential role to insure the Urgent Care runs efficiently. Day to day tasks include a wide range of services to patients with non-life threatening injuries and illnesses. These duties include (but are not limited to) taking vital signs, performing physical exams, administering medication, drawing blood samples, taking X-rays, as well as assisting the medical provider with basic procedures such as suturing wounds or other minor procedures.

Status: Full-Time

REPORTS TO: Director of Urgent Care Services

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Assist with patient intake and triage, including taking vitals, recording medical history, and documenting symptoms.

2. Prepare exam rooms and equipment for patient examinations, ensuring that all equipment is clean and in good working condition.

3. Perform diagnostic tests and procedures, such as EKGs, X-Rays, and laboratory tests.

4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring that all documentation complies with HIPAA regulations.

5. Assist with inventory management.

6. Promotes and maintains a safety culture.

7. Adopts and maintains OptimuMedicine’s core values.

8. Embodies the OptimuMedicine Culture.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Participate in special project development as designated by the Director of Urgent Care Services.

2. Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

1. Certified as a X-Ray Tech

2. Obtain Office Lab Assistant License within 60 days.

3. BLS Certification

4. Able to lift 50# and stand/sit for long periods of time.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Urgent Care experience

2. Bachelor’s Degree

3. MA, CNA, RN, Paramedic, EMT certification or licensure.

Bilingual (English/Spanish)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1. Strong customer service skills needed.

2. Excellent bedside manner.

3. Calm under pressure.

4. Able to navigate various computer platforms with good typing skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

1. Exposure to infectious diseases.

2. Standing or sitting for long periods of time.

3. Exposure to computer screens.

4. Direct contact with the public.

5. Lifting heavy objects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour
