The Boys & Girls Clubs of Warwick seeks an experienced youth development professional for our Before/Afterschool Programs that provide services for ages 5-13.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising program staff in our Before/After-School program (Licensed Childcare for youth ages 5-13), overseeing all program operations (including transportation, morning and afternoon care, school/ summer vacation programming) and implementing a quality and comprehensive program plan utilizing tools and strategies set forth by the Boys & Girls Club of America and local organizations.

RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal: Maintains close, daily contact with Club professional staff to interpret and explain organizational mission, program objectives and standards, discuss issues, and provide/receive information. Has regular contact with members as needed to discipline, advise, and counsel.

External: Maintains contact with external community groups, schools, members' parents and others to assist in resolving problems and to publicize Club.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

· Four-year degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.

· A minimum of five years’ work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people, or equivalent experience.

· Demonstrated ability in personnel supervision, facilities management, and the recruitment and retention of key personnel.

· Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

· Ability to recruit, train, supervise, and motivate staff.

· Ability to deal effectively with members including discipline problems.

· Working knowledge of budget preparation, control, and management.

· Skills in fund-raising events.

· Demonstrated ability in working with young people, parents and community leaders.

· Must be able to obtain a chauffeurs license within 30 days of employment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year

  • Bachelor's (Required)

Experience:

  • supervisory: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Chauffeur's Permit (Preferred)
