The YMCA of Northern Colorado is seeking Youth Sport Clinic Coaches for Johnstown YMCA. You may apply for one or more geographic areas.

The position is part time including Friday nights and Saturday mornings and afternoons and some weekday afternoons. You do not need to be available for all time slots to apply.

The Youth Sports Clinic Coach will coach and implement lesson plans in the specific sport being taught as scheduled by the Director. Organize area in which safety and overall appearance works well with the specific sport being coached. Organize groups of participants through different drills and activities, making sure the overall program runs smoothly, including starting and ending according to schedules made by the Director.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Clinic coach must have significant knowledge of the sport and/or experience coaching sports in order to advise participants and coaches
• Ability to organize groups of people effectively
• Know how to break down a skill and explain it so that participants can understand and perform the skill
• Coach must communicate and work with a variety of people including children, staff, school staff, other host staff, and community members

Salary range is $15-$18/hour based on experience and certification. In addition, we offer a +10% differential for bilingual staff who test as fluent in Spanish and English.

All YMCA of Northern Colorado part-time staff working 10+ hours each week are eligible to receive a free family membership. Staff who work 10+ hours a week earn 50% to 100% off our programs. That includes free YMCA traditional day camp, youth sports, learn to skate and swim lessons, and half off YMCA Camp Santa Maria overnight camp, personal training, specialty summer camps, and childcare. If you work 20+ hours a week, your benefits grow from there. Sick time is earned from day 1, and we make contributions of 10% of your salary to the YMCA Retirement Fund for eligible staff.
