Leap Innovations is seeking an accounting associate to join our team located in Lindon Utah. This accounting position is responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit card and expense report processing and assist with payroll functions. This position reports to the Accounting Manager and will work closely with other staff and team members within three separate operating divisions. Qualified candidates should possess at least three (3) years of general accounting experience in the following areas.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Process all accounts payable activity and initiate all payments both electronically and with checks and credit card transactions.
• Maintain vendor records including preparing and distributing 1099’s.
• Monitory billing, deposit checks, post payments to accounts receivable and prepare cash reconciliation and journal entries.
• Assist with collection efforts for past due accounts and monitor credit limits and credit holds for delinquent accounts.
• Monitors and resolves issues with sales tax billing. Reviews sales tax transactions prior to TPA (Avalara) filing sales tax returns.
• Responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll and assist with tax filing requirements.
• Respond timely to inquiries from vendors, customers and employees. Research and resolve concerns and discrepancies.

Requirements and Skills

• Problem solver and team player with ability to communicate well with co-workers and peers
• 3 years experience in A/P, A/R, Data Entry and Payroll
• 2-year degree in accounting processes and functions is a plus
• Experience in Quick Books accounting software and other ERP manufacturing software is desired
• Proficient in Word and Excel spreadsheets
