Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented AP/AR Clerk to join our team. The AP/AR Clerk will be responsible for performing a range of accounts payable and accounts receivable duties.
This is a temp-to-hire position.
Responsibilities:
- Review and process invoices received from vendors, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information
- Prepare and process payments to vendors in a timely manner
- Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies or issues related to payments
- Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions
- Review and reconcile accounts payable reports to ensure all payments are accounted for and recorded correctly
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable balances
- Process and apply customer payments to open invoices
- Communicate with customers to resolve any issues related to payments or outstanding balances

- Assist with month-end close processes as needed
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software programs
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
