We need passionate candidates lead our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team as a Program Manager.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Direct the day to day clinical operations of the Act team including scheduling staff work hours to assure appropriate coverage for the day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts and on-call hours.
  • Direct the daily organizational staff meetings and treatment planning meeting.
  • Continuously evaluate the status of clients and do appropriate planning and coordination of treatment activities to ensure immediate attention to their changing needs.
  • Direct and coordinate the client admission process and treatment, rehabilitation, and support services of the program in coordination with the psychiatrist.
  • Ensures effective performance for direct service programs including timely and accurate documentation and record keeping by monitoring and analyzing system database and records, and implementing corrective action as necessary
  • Implements and supervises an ACT team that works toward achieving high fidelity with the ACT Model.
  • Coordinates the planning and implementation of the ACT Model in close partnership with the Center for Evidence-Based Practice/Case Western Reserve University.
  • Collaborates with agency personnel and other community providers to develop and provide a continuum of services necessary to promote client success
  • Ensures services are carried out in accordance with established policies and protocols, ensuring prompt, professional responses to referrals for services, and prompt completion of clinical documentation and staff logs
  • Ensures adherence with established service plans, Ohio Department of Mental Health (ODMH) administrative rules, federal, state, and local laws, and professional standards of conduct
  • Supports, directs, and guides the activities of assigned staff involved in program activities.
  • Documents and provides performance feedback to staff regarding the quantity, quality, timeliness, efficiency, and completeness of services performed and efficiency of use of time
  • Executes authority over employee change of status (e.g. hiring and firing authority) or makes suggestions and recommendations as to the hiring, firing, advancement, promotion or any other change in status of employees.
  • Manages department records by ensuring clinical records and related source documents are maintained in accordance with industry and agency requirements, monitors and updates information in the service database and generates and distributes reports
  • Initiate and maintain relationships, in coordination with other staff, with local criminal justice and other human services agencies, and with informal community resources (e.g. landlord, employers, hospitals, etc.).
  • Conduct clinical assessments and provide direct clinical treatment, rehabilitation, and support services to clients.
  • Perform on-call duty for crisis intervention and for staff supervision and consultation.
  • Using the SLII model, empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals. Delegate responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback.
  • Initiate and maintain relationships, in coordination with other staff, with local criminal justice and other human services agencies, and with informal community resources (e.g. landlord, employers, hospitals, schools, etc.).
  • Maintain transparent communication. Appropriately communicate organization information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, appropriate email, and regular interpersonal communication.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities.
  • Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members that allows for disagreement over ideas, conflict and expeditious conflict resolution, and the appreciation of diversity as well as cohesiveness, support, and working effectively together to enable each employee and the department to succeed

Job Qualifications
  • LISW-S or LPCC-S licensed in the State of Ohio.
  • A minimum of five years mental health, chemical dependency and/or social services work experience including a minimum of one year of supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership of high-performing teams in a community behavioral health setting.
  • Salary range: $80,000
Physical Demands/Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms. Travel and work outside of normal hours may be required for meetings, presentations, trainings and other events.
