Pay Range: $18-$19 an hour


Job Description:

We are seeking an Administrative Assistant with collections experience to join our team. As a Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our accounts receivable portfolio, ensuring timely payments from our clients and customers.


Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage the Spokane branch accounts receivable portfolio, including overdue accounts and disputed balances. In this position, you will also assist other branches with collections.

  • Answering phones.

  • Conduct regular follow-ups with clients and customers regarding outstanding balances, using various communication methods such as email, phone calls, and letters.

  • Investigate and resolve disputes or discrepancies related to accounts receivable.

  • Maintain accurate records of all collections activities, including payments received and outstanding balances.

  • Generate and analyze reports on accounts receivable status, aging, and collections performance.

  • Work closely with other departments, including sales, accounting, and customer service, to ensure the timely resolution of collections issues.

  • Implement and maintain effective collections policies and procedures to improve collections efficiency and reduce bad debt.

  • The position will also include backing up other Admins when needed, including invoicing, entering bills, statements, credit card receipt coding, and any other clerical duties needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a fast-paced office environment, specifically in collections.

  • Strong knowledge of collections practices and principles.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and customers.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve collections issues proactively.

  • Proficiency in Email use, Phone use, Google Docs/Sheets, and any other collections or office software. You will have the option to use a Windows or Mac computer whichever suits your needs better.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, multitask, and meet deadlines.

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
