Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review freshmen, transfer, second undergraduate, unclassified undergraduate, and returning student applicants who are complete and ready for review.
- Verify and make sure all college transcripts have been articulated.
- Determine the appropriate admission decision and enters in Banner.
- Send letters to not-admit students who are not eligible to return; explaining to them the steps needed to take in order to be re-admitted back to the university.
- Once college transcripts have been received and logged into Banner, evaluate and articulate college transcripts through the transfer admission process.
- Admit students who are in progress of completing final course work for a particular term.
- Enter decisions in Banner
- In SOAPCOL, enter attendance dates from each transcript received that have attendance dates noted on that particular transcript. If there is no start or end date indicated on the transcript, enter a date that will likely correspond with the beginning of a term. This allows for accuracy for reporting purposes
- Assists with programs during the weekends such as Warhawk Welcome recruitment activities and other extended office hours.
- Act as a backup and run the online application push process report when needed for undergraduate and graduate applicants
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of acceptable advising and/or recruiting techniques and practices
- Knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations
- Ability to recruit students
- Skill in making written and oral presentations
- Interpersonal skills
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s Degree is required.
