Job Summary
This position provides admission counseling services for prospective freshman and transfer students who are considering entry to Georgia Gwinnett College. Additionally, this position assists with operational recruitment activities, represents GGC on and off-campus events and helps maintain student recruitment systems which support overall institutional enrollment. This position will manage a recruitment territory in Georgia. There is potential for territorial expansion to other states. Position will also provide leadership to the Enrollment Management Services division.
Responsibilities
- Manage a recruitment territory composed of high schools and two-year colleges.
- Manage admissions-related appointments for both scheduled and walk-ins.
- Provide admissions counseling to prospective students on and off campus.
- Review assigned applicant files for completion and for admissions decisions / assist with walk-in and telephone inquiries / respond to student inquiries through use of social media, email, texting and other communication methods.
- Support the campus tour program.
- Responsible for designated projects within the Office of Admissions.
- Participate in projects that support enrollment management services goals of the college and other duties as assigned.
- Provide support to the One Stop Shop by acting as next level support for prospective students in need of assistance.
Required Qualifications
- 4 year / Bachelor degree
- 1-3 years of relevant experience.

- Bilingual preferred
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Represent GGC in a professional and positive manner at all recruitment related functions.
- Knowledge of and experience with computer systems, programs and applications using Banner.
- Be a team player willing to embrace the concept of continuous improvement.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, both oral and written.
- Thorough knowledge of, familiarity with and experience in the admissions field and interpreting policies and procedures to prospective students and the GGC community.
- Ability to present clear and accurate information to small and large groups of various populations.
- Ability to effectively work with diverse constituencies in a large, fast-paced professional work environment.
- Ability to work independently and develop project timelines and associated tasks to be completed.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
