Job description

We are searching for an Assistant Project Manager in Mt. Airy, MD. The Assistant Project Manager uses communication and project management skills to assist his/her Project Manager with project coordination. They identify client needs and organize them into an actionable plan while also identifying budget requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Attend pre-con meetings to ensure successful hand off from estimating to field
• Manage submittal processes
• Negotiate and resolve all customer concerns
• When necessary, estimate change orders for assigned projects
• Manage all jobs closeout procedures
• Conduct post project reviews to determine areas for future improvement
• Provide coaching/counseling to foreman and assistant project manager
• Develop/maintain network of professional relationships within our industry

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years of experience in the commercial electrical construction field preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam and Outlook e-mail & calendar
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in teams
