Assistant Registrar works with the Registrar and other Assistant Registrars in the general administration of all undergraduate and graduate student records. This position provides quality service to all students in relation to the Registrar's Office. Additionally, each Assistant Registrar has unique responsibilities within the Office, such a Commencement coordination, Veteran's certification etc.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Evaluate transfer credit for matriculated Saint Rose students.
- Update course equivalency database.
- Perform undergraduate and graduate degree verifications.
- Verify certifications: Teacher, CPA, state professional licensures.
- Handle Registrar office email account correspondence, including responses to inquiries from students, faculty and other members of the academic community.
- Conduct degree audits to ensure the completion of all graduation requirements.
- Assist with student registration, process add/drop requests and withdrawals.
- Assist students with resolving academic issues.
- Process enrollment verifications.
- Interact with faculty and advisors regarding academic matters.
- Process independent study, cross registration, study abroad, and course waivers.
- Review graduate files for completeness.
- Process Degree Works manual adjustments and interpret progress reports.
- Assist with Contract Courses registrations as needed.
- Participate in Commencement preparations.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of six months of administrative office experience
- Experience working in the higher education environment preferred
- Experience interpreting policies and procedures preferred
- Work experience that involves meeting one-on-one with students or other individuals preferred
- Experience with electronic recordkeeping platforms
- Experience using a student information system software (i.e. Banner) as part of work responsibilities preferred
- Attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with diverse populations, including students, staff, faculty, administration, parents, and other members of the academic community
- Ability to work independently but also as part of a team
- Intermediate level computer skills using a Windows based operating system, specifically MS Word and Excel

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, full time, full year*
