ASSISTANT SOCCER COACH: One Women’s Assistant Coach / One Men’s Assistant Coach

Position Summary
The Assistant Soccer Coach assists with the coaching of the Men’s or Women’s Soccer team primary duties instruction in
the rules, regulations, techniques, and team concepts of the sport, specific position instruction, game day coaching and
instruction, practice planning and execution both during on- and off-season. Additional responsibilities include
recruitment, conditioning, supervision of athletes, field and equipment maintenance, and administrative tasks.
Essential Job Duties
- Provide instruction in all aspects of the game of Men’s or Women’s Soccer including fundamentals of the game,
- Provide planning and execution of instruction during on- and off-season daily practices (10%).
- Provide game day instruction and coaching (10%).
- Perform recruiting activities to develop a competitive team (15%).
- Maintain Soccer field(s). Perform pre-game and post-game field preparation (5%).
- Perform weekly random room checks in the residence halls and enforce curfews (2%).
- Coordinate team travel arrangements, lodging, travel itineraries and arrange food service for meals when games
- Report game scores and information to the media, as needed, and to NJCAA each week (2%).
- Maintain player and game statistics internally as well as on the NJCAA website in addition to assisting with the
- Coordinate equipment and field maintenance (5%).
- Assist the head coach with implementation, supervision, and coordination of fundraisers (5%).
- Supervise and assist student-athletes in community projects (5%).
- Maintain office hours and correspondence files (5%).
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Head Coach, Athletic Director and/or Vice President of Student
Affairs (2%).
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Three successful years as a soccer coach
- Demonstrate successful classroom instruction
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with faculty, staff, administrators, students,
- Understanding of and commitment to the community college philosophy and mission.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Master’s Degree
• Ability to operate a personal computer using the Windows environment.
- Ability to understand operating a personal computer within the Crowder College Network environment.
- Ability to use E-mail.
- Ability to perform basic Word and Excel functions
