AVP, Senior Quality Engineer

What will you be doing?
- On behalf of a global financial services organization develop Proof of Concept for automation frameworks.
- Automating Business APIs and Platform services.
- Implement Behavior Driven Development and Test Driven Development.
- Understand requirement specifications, technical design documents, and related artifacts.
- Develop Test Plans, Test Cases, and Test scenarios to support releases for multiple applications.
- Testing and development of Automation database scripts. Develop and test various components of Big Data.
- Work on MapReduce jobs using Hive and Pig.
- Provide testing by leading the development of automation strategies with Developers, Test Engineers, and Team Members to design and code unit, integration, component, service/API and system automated testing.
- Research and implement new technologies in support of CI/CD/Deployment including testability of code, automation strategy, and methodology in the implementation of automated test development on multiple concurrent projects.
- Work on applications using aPaas cloud technology with Multithreading, Serialization, Collection framework and Core JAVA applications developed using Spring Framework.
- Build and ensure code Artifactories are built in CI fashion using build tools such as Jenkins and Docker.
- Engineer reusable automation frameworks and scripts.
- Build resilient and self-healing service-oriented automated architectures to automate applications.
- Support third party infrastructure applications and services.
- Develop automation for load/performance analysis across multiple messaging protocols including HTTP utilizing Agile, CI/CD, AppDynamics, and DevOps.
- Create appropriate documentation in Confluence spanning across multiple teams and business units. Develop automation in Jenkins Pipelines.
- Develop Test Plans, Test Cases, and Test scenarios to support releases for multiple applications.
- Perform verification of data model changes, inbound and outbound file validations, file transmission, and batch processing checks on Unix servers.
- Provide Quality Risk reports for different releases across various application modules. Train internal personal on the capabilities of new product releases, and lead junior test engineers in adherence to Automation norms.
What we’re looking for:
Minimum of a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent, in Applied Computer Science, Computer Applications, or a related technical field and at least two (2) years of experience as a Senior Quality Engineer, or related occupation working for a global financial institution. Must have experience with each of the following required skills: Developing Proof of Concept for automation frameworks using Java, Junit, TestNG and other Continues Integration(CI)/Continuous Delivery(CD) tools, Jenkins, GIThub; Micro Service Testing and rest service automation using tools like Karate Framework and Java with Cucumber; Using ETL Automation to develop stored procedures and ad hoc scripts; Using Big Data Hadoop and Agile Project Management to test Kafka stream for payments, logins, and Agile scrum; Developing and testing components of Big Data for data analytics, Apache HIVE, HUE, HDFS, SOLR, and HUE dashboards for core data applications, automating Hive tables to load huge data and analyze it using hive queries; and Developing Payments, Transactions, and Balance Transfers applications using aPaas cloud technology with Multithreading, Serialization, Collection framework and Core JAVA applications in Spring Framework that use features of IOC, Spring MVC, Spring JDBC, Spring Batch, Kubernetes and OpenShift Private Cloud and TSYS Greenscreens
