Arganteal seeks two (2) remote work from home Automation Engineers to automate on premise physical hardware and software. We need candidates that have experience automating and interfacing with on premise customer owned physical Firewalls, Switches, Routers, and Servers that DO NOT RESIDE IN THE CLOUD.


Start Date:
8-1-2022 (If you have to give a 2 week notice then you will NOT be considered)

Location: Remote work from home

Duration: 3+ months up to 24 total months

Skill Level: 5+ automation experience

Hourly Rate: $70 to $80.00 per hour depending on experience

Visa Status: H1B or similar accepted


This a two (2) year engagement but the end customer is doing a 3 month evaluation to see if you work out.

Job Description:


The Grid Modernization program (Grid Mod) is a large, complex and technology driven multi-year program focused on deploying and updating advanced meters for The Electric Companies Transmission and Distribution infrastructure to move them into the future. The E2E Testing workstream under the The Electric Companies Grid Mod program is responsible to provide the technical capability, supporting tools and processes to effectively test the impact of change, end-to-end for the Grid applications. These automation capabilities are planned to be integrated under a Continuous Integration-Continuous Delivery methodology in support of The Electric Companies future advanced Grid Systems.


High Level Details:


  • No Cloud effort needed on this engagement...it's all on premise hardware automation with some Ansible.


Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience implementing/maintaining Automation platforms within large, complex business environments.
  • 5+ years of experience with tools such as Jenkins, Jira, Git, Nexus, Tosca, SonarQube, etc.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and draw accurate and relevant conclusions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – Experience leading discussions involving senior level technical SMEs from Application and Infrastructure teams.


Role and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, build, test, and deploy Automation tools to create consistent, verifiable, and automatic management of application and infrastructure within the Grid domain.
  • Work on the CI/CD deployment by collaborating with cross-functional teams including domain architects, application, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and other subject matter experts. Requires coming up to speed rapidly with the organization and key stakeholders.
  • Design and implement tool integration with existing tools such as Remedy, Splunk, etc. within the Automation platform.
  • Gather and analyze requirements and develop test plans for solution validation.
  • Review and enhance comprehensive best practices and setup process standards for maintenance and operations of the Automation frameworks.
  • Train and guide the team with streamlined best practices.
  • Support onboarding and operations of client applications that will utilize the Automation platform for their Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery.
  • Develop and publish monthly metrics and reporting to measure efficiencies and overall Automation Platform cycle improvements.
