JOB SUMMARY
The bilingual mental health therapist provides counseling through face to face and telehealth means to our Spanish-speaking client population.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Providing mental health counseling using evidence based and trauma informed approaches of care to adults, children and adolescents
• Individualized Service Plan development
• Provide crisis intervention as necessary to enhance and restore functioning.
• Intake/Orientation of new clients
• Complete all necessary intake screenings and Assessment
• Maintain working relationships with other social service organizations; help market The Centers’ programs
• Maintain timely and complete clinical records
• Identify service gaps and make appropriate referrals
• Perform other duties as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling or Related Field
• Licenses: LSW, LPC, LISW, LPCC or MFT
• Languages: Must be fluent in Spanish
• Experience: Experience with diagnostic assessment and counseling with individuals and groups, experience with diagnostic assessment and counseling with individuals and groups preferred.
• Knowledge: Working knowledge of the states of growth and development and family dynamics
• Skilled at use of DSM V for diagnosis of mental disorders.
• Training and/or experience with use of evidence based practices
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to make sound decisions under stressful conditions
• Demonstrated clinical skills and an ability to organize and prioritize tasks
• Understand and accept a systems approach to service delivery and agency and program philosophy and goals.
• Ability to work in partnership with other team members
