The Branch Manager will represent TEL to fleet customers, carrier partners, equipment buyers, and vendors as the premier fleet reconditioner in the US. Lead the fleet reconditioning team in maximizing TEL’s fleet inventory movement from the on-order status to the time it is sold or placed back on lease. This individual will grow TEL fleet reconditioning capabilities beyond internal needs to support greater fleet remarketing initiatives. Fulfill position responsibilities using sound business management practices. Plans, motivates, and coordinates the activities of the maintenance team.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
  • Continuously learn, share, and implement improvements in all processes and responsibilities as needed to enhance effectiveness of providing world class service and support.
  • P & L accountability for a multi-million-dollar annual operation and 25+ associates
  • Directs and monitors all branch management or supervisory personnel functions and completes formal performance evaluations of all department managers at regularly scheduled intervals
  • Meets with managers individually to develop weekly, monthly, and annual goals and objectives, and to review actual performance
  • Ensures that the entire facility is clean and organized according to the most efficient standards and facility maintenance is kept in highest standards
  • Provides enthusiastic leadership to help shape employees' attitudes and build morale.
  • Resolves any customer complaints that department managers are unable to rectify
  • Offers coordination and focus for all areas of branch operation
  • Maintains a professional appearance and a neat work area for self and subordinates in accordance with company policy
  • Leads and manages others in an exemplary and professional manner
  • Closely monitor the truck and trailer equipment on order to ensure TEL systems are accurate as to estimated delivery and actual acceptance
  • Accountable for 24/7 security operations of the site to include close monitoring of all inbound / outbound equipment acceptance and release
  • Leads the facility safety programs ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies (OSHA, IDEM etc.)
  • Establish processes & procedures for monitoring and reporting equipment prep, delivery, and pick up is executed in a timely fashion for TEL customers.
  • Communicate with TEL Equipment Sales regularly to ensure contract terms are understood and adhered to in the reconditioning process.
  • Establish best practices and procedures for equipment upfit / modification at lease origination to ensure quality and standardization.
  • Routinely audit the completed equipment to ensure it meets TEL wholesale standards.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with Fleet Support team as needed.
  • Develop strong working relationships with outside vendors to promote cost effective and timely repairs to TEL equipment.
  • Audit equipment turn in inspections verses contract return conditions to validate needed repairs.
  • Oversee the reconditioning process of TEL equipment to meet contract termination conditions.
  • Track the lifecycle of equipment reconditioning to ensure costs are in line and total time meets expectations.
  • Ensure TEL systems are kept up to date with accurate equipment status.
  • Send weekly Recon repair status and reporting to management team.
  • Monitor and manage special projects as required.
Qualifications:
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree (B.S or B.A) or equivalent; and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Required: Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent in business; and at least two-year related experience and/or training in a dealership parts / service environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Five years in a supervisory role in prior employment, required.
  • Deep knowledge of parts, service, and body shop operations in a class 8 repair facility highly desired.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to build and motivate teams
  • Strong Microsoft application skills and ability to adapt to platforms like SalesForce, Karmak, DOMO
  • Ability to hire, manage, train, and terminate personnel as required to meet goals
  • Positive, high-energy personality with a desire to work hard to accomplish goals
  • Networking internally and externally to manage and solve problems
  • Well organized, proactive, results-oriented individual able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong experience with used truck values and condition standards.
  • Team oriented and able to take direction and effectively manage with minimal supervision.
  • Able to establish professional goals and implement a plan of action to achieve goals
  • Ability to budget and understand financial requirements.
Wages:
$110,000 - $150,000 annually, depending on experience.
