Budtender

The role of the Retail Sales Associate is to be the primary customer-facing representative for both medical and adult-use patrons. Responsibilities include following guidelines and retail procedures set by the Dispensary Manager as well as regulations set by the Cannabis Control Commission. Duties include the following: cash management, performing retail transactions, educating patients and customers on product offerings, opening/closing procedures, data entry, cleaning, and other duties, as needed. The Retail Sales Associate will embrace continued education as it relates to the cannabis industry including standard operating procedures, all regulations, and have a comprehensive understanding of all cannabis products and non-cannabis products sold.

Candidate Requirements:

Enthusiastic and highly motivated to learn about cannabis science and the cannabis industry
Excellent customer service both in-person and virtually. Experience in retail, hospitality or patient services preferred
Efficient with both verbal and written communication
Ability to organize, multi-task and prioritize
Basic math skills including accurate handling of cash and debit card transactions.
Ability to work in highly stimulated fast paced environment with a high volume of transactions
Experience with POS systems and computer literate.
Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a challenging, constantly changing start-up environment.
Must have regular and on-time attendance, able to work a flexible schedule (nights, weekends and holiday shifts, including overtime as needed and approved.)
All positions deal with confidential information. Discretion and sound judgement is an absolute must while maintaining the highest standard of professionalism and personal hygiene
Must be at least 21 years old, and have a valid state-issued ID or driver’s license
Ability to meet physical demands of the position including, standing/moving throughout the duration of shifts and lifting packages up to 50lbs.
Specific Operational Responsibilities Include:Provide high level prompt customer service that consistently exceeds expectations and builds a lasting and loyal customer base.
Cannabis sales using Leaf Logix POS system, ability to handle cash and debit transactions accurately
Responsible for staying current with all regulations new laws, rules, and company policies
Inquire about and resolve customer complaints within a 24-hour period. Maintain all FAQ material to aid in the efficient and accurate problem-solving answers and techniques
Maintain and execute all inventory practices as they are assigned. Follow all inventory protocols to ensure accuracy and accountability.
Be a proactive teammate that encourages the direction from the retail management personnel
Accurately check identification cards and passports
Assist with additional administrative assignments, or dispensary work as needed
Communication with management about daily dispensary operations, including customer needs, security protocols, inventory discrepancies, etc.
Daily maintenance and cleaning of all dispensary areas, as assigned (clean counters, tables, bathrooms, floor, display cases)
Participate and pass all annual required training

This is a full-time position that includes shifts that range over all days a week including evenings, weekends and holidays. A comprehensive benefit package is available to full-time employees.Pay: $16.00 per hour
