The Business Intelligence Developer supports data warehouse and business intelligence initiatives through the analysis, design, coding, deployment, and maintenance of custom applications and solutions that provide access to business information and improve business processes. This role is also responsible for compiling both supporting and training documentation regarding the development of Business Intelligence applications and solutions in compliance with state and federal regulations, company policies and established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Work with the Business Intelligence team to design, develop, and monitor Business Intelligence solutions, including custom web based applications that support business needs. Represent the Bank to both internal and external customers in a courteous, professional manner in face-to-face, written and telephone communications.

Accountable for adherence to compliance standards including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), as well as quality of documentation and timeliness of assigned projects. Actively protect confidentiality of customer and account information. Demonstrate Horizon Bank’s commitment to the communities we serve through active involvement in local organizations and events.

• Develop, maintain, manage and monitor custom applications for the bank.
• Design, code, test and document all new or existing BI solutions. Write complex functions, methods, views and stored procedures to meet application business requirements.
• Collaborate with departments and Business Intelligence team to identify and scope business opportunities; understand, document and analyze business requirements; identify effective reporting techniques, the best data sources, risks and constraints, as well as desired functionality that drives the development and design of BI solutions
• Assist with the completion of supporting documentation for required internal and external training materials for developed applications.
• Communicate plans, progress, and issues to management in a timely manner.
• Perform all work in compliance with established regulations, policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and instructions.
• Maintain customer confidence and protect bank operations by keeping information private and confidential.
• Maintain knowledge of current and future techniques and technologies through research, training, reading, conferences and experimentation with new technologies in the workplace
• Support the use of the data warehouse and related databases by learning and mastering the underlying data structures and how to use them effectively and accurately to better interpret the bank's data.
• Act as a key resource to provide expert counsel related to business intelligence questions and topics and advise on how to use the core bank data effectively as it relates to the development of custom applications.
• Provide production support assistance for ensuring that scheduled reports (daily, monthly) are properly generated. Troubleshoot errors and faults, re-running reports as appropriate.
• Provide production support assistance for ensuring that scheduled routine application and database maintenance jobs are properly deployed and executed. Troubleshoot errors and faults, re-running jobs as appropriate.
• Consolidate change requests related to the data warehouse, application, and reporting environments, reviewing and managing them to ensure operational performance and stability.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or Accounting with one-year relevant banking experience
• Experience designing and coding web based applications using Visual Studio, C#, Entity Framework, and .NET Core
• Tableau experience preferred.
• Exceptional organization, time management and follow-up skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, bank employees and outside service providers.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and a wide range of procedures requiring sound judgement.
• High energy level, strong work ethic and attention to detail. Energy and drive to execute to agreed-to commitments. Detail-oriented and conscientious.
• Must have proficient typing and computer skills, using MS Office products
