Position Summary & Scope
Job Summary:
To process motor vehicle and DNR license registration renewals.
Scope of Responsibility:
The Temporary License Center Representative provides support services for issuance of motor vehicle and DNR registration renewals regulated under the readily available supervision of the License Center Supervisor. This position apply knowledge of the codes, policies, procedures and practices of the deputy registrar’s licensing office and perform light troubleshooting having a limited financial impact.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Review, process and enter all application data into the State of Minnesota computer system to renew register for all motor vehicles.- Process DNR regulated license renewals.
- Perform and verify basic accounting functions by balancing money to completed work transactions.
- Answer inquiries by phone, email or in person.
- Resolve routine problems or complaints associated with registration renewals.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Requires daily and continuous public and staff contact, requiring a high degree of tact, courtesy, and sound judgment.- Has excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to resolves routine problems or complaints associated with registration renewals.
- Ability and desire to project a professional image through knowledge of job, positive attitude, and accurate and timely completion of work.
- Ability to exercise patience and understanding in stressful situations.
- Key characteristics include the ability to learn, interpret and process detailed practices and procedures.

Minimum qualifications require applicant to be at least 17 years of age with at least 6 months of customer service experience. Must be able to use a calculator and handling cash with basic math skills. Must be comfortable using Outlook and Windows operating systems to perform job duties.
