PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Capital Markets Analyst will support the company’s Capital Markets Desk in a variety of tasks associated with Agency CMBS pricing, trading, loan production and risk management. The Analyst will also conduct industry market research, prepare and maintain business reports, as well as perform general administrative duties. Primary product focus will be on Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA and USDA multifamily assets.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Research, track and communicate fixed income pricing information, as well as market trends to internal business units.
- Interact with numerous internal and external business partners (Loan Originators, Analysts, Underwriters, Closers and Fixed Income Broker/Dealer counterparties) to provide pricing and bond market intelligence, while adhering to compliance and risk management practices.
- Develop and maintain detailed business and procedural reports.
- Assist in confirming Rate Locks, while following Bellwether and industry best practices.
- Assist in structuring multiple loan pricing executions to maximize market efficiencies.
- Maintain positive working relationships with internal team members, as well as with external Broker/Dealer and Investor personnel.
- Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, business insight and relationship management skills.
- Support the corporate business goal of expanding Bellwether’s Agency loan production.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Business Administration or related discipline required. An advanced degree is a plus.
- Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS) fixed income and commercial real estate finance background strongly preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in the fixed income trading/financial analytics capacity.
- Versed in Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and/or Ginnie Mae Multifamily loan origination guidelines is highly desired.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VBA programing), Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat and Salesforce.
- Strong written, verbal and analytical skills (cash flow modeling, pricing and asset analysis) a must.
- Ability to operate effectively in a team environment, as well as the accountability to work independently with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, work in a fast-paced environment – with a sense of urgency – while adhering to optimal work detail accuracy.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
