The Care Coordinator will provide administrative support and outbound/inbound call management. Take about 15 – 30 calls a day on average, some days heavier call volume than others. You will be in a queue to manage the calls.

This position is full-time (40 hours/week). Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:30a- 5:00p CST.

Employees will be required to work onsite and from home.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Staff member that supports the team with important operational and clinical tasks
  • Answers Incoming calls and reminder calls to patients
  • Manages the Provider visit schedules
  • Process patients forms
  • Maintain patient folders
  • Works closely with Nurse Case Managers and Providers to support gap closure efforts
  • Will work in a queue answering 15 – 30 calls a day on average

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • 6+ months experience in a Call Center role fielding both inbound and outbound calls
  • 6+ months experience in escalated customer service issues / resolutions
  • Proficiency in Excel (input/output data, updating spreadsheets etc.)
  • Must be available to work: Hybrid shift 1/2 days in office 3/4 days home office. Shift is 8:30a- 5:00p CST. 100% in office can be accommodated if desired.
  • Must live in Temple TX or the surrounding area Waco to Austin
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination, and boosters when applicable, prior to employment to ensure compliance. Candidates must be able to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a healthcare setting (i.e. Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, Pharmacy Tech)
  • Prior experience working with triage protocol

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Reside within Temple, TX or the surrounding area Waco to Austin
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

  • Critical thinking skills and flexibility are required for success in role
