This position is one of two positions that account for and post all revenue transactions for the Department of Health (DOH) Cash Office. Run daily bank deposit reports after State Treasurer's Office (STO) has uploaded the deposits in SHARE overnight. Review emails with the revenue information sheets and deposit slips from the FAB-Cash Office email. Audit and enter daily deposit information from divisions/facilities from revenue information sheets into the Accounts Receivable Module of SHARE. Create, audit, and budget check deposits for accuracy. Run required queries and enter returns in SHARE. Determine information submitted for posting is accurate and complete based on knowledge of general ledger. Correspond to resolve discrepancies with emails, calls and provide queries with the divisions/facilities and the State Treasurer's Office regarding any missing deposit information or if a correction is needed. Provide technical assistance in the proper recording, identification of revenues, and placement of funds. Research checks that come to FAB to ensure they are coded appropriately deposited within 24-hours. Order deposit slips and deposit bags from STO for the divisions and other regional areas when needed. Fill out Electronic Funds Transfer Agreements as needed for the Divisions. Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation as needed for corrections to posted deposits. Prepare bank reconciliations on a weekly and/or monthly basis as required. Assist Cash Manager with
research requested by external auditors in the preparation of the financial statements in relation to revenue and cash. Other duties as assigned.

Review, analyze, and correct financial data and reporting of the general ledger, trial balance, and journal entries. Perform reconciliations for programs at DOH. Reconciliations will require the ability to download various queries, critically assess the activities posted to determine appropriateness, identify and analyze account balance variances to make correcting journal entries. Ensure the programs and facilities are notified of general ledger corrections needed and given the opportunity to make the corrections themselves. The ability to prepare financial data into usable reports and then analysis of the information is a major component of this position. This position needs to provide feedback and corrections to assigned department.

1. Financial Statement Audit experience and working with external auditors. 2. Experience using the state's accounting system "SHARE", especially the financial module. 3. Knowledge and application of GAAP and MAPs. 4. Completed at least 24 credit hours in accounting to include intermediate and governmental accounting courses. 5. Experience preparing and coordinating reconciliations.

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing or Business Administration and two (2) years directly related work experience in accounting, auditing, finance and/or budgeting. Substitutions Apply. See Substitution Table below.

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required.
