Lead Liquids Batcher/Chemical Compunder

Kaufman Products, a family-owned business since 1963, is a leading national manufacturer or concrete treatments including epoxy resin systems, sealers, lubricants, grouts, repair mortars, and other assorted materials for the concrete construction industry. We are currently seeking to hire a full-time and experienced lead liquids batcher. The ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for the production of the daily scheduled batches and should have the ability to follow formulas and procedures ensuring that all batches meet Quality Control standards. The lead liquids batcher will be responsible for monitoring housekeeping and GMP’s within the assigned area and will communicate any concerns, suggestions, and information to the plant manager directly. Essential Functions:

• Coordinate with management on daily production needs and batching requirements.
• Must follow company safety protocol during all manufacturing processes.
• Ensure all batching equipment is operational and functioning properly. Report any issues to your management immediately.
• Work with trainer focusing on GMP’s, and company SOP’s.
• Ensure all equipment and raw materials are properly identified and stored in a safe manner.
• Monitor and report on batch progress as needed.
• Keep assigned work area clean and make sure all GMP's are being followed.
• Knowledge of measuring instruments and liquid blending is preferred.
• Inform management on any batching problems or safety issues that arise.
• Accurately maintain all batching records.
• Dependable and able to work consistently as scheduled as well as any overtime necessary (including weekends or evenings).
• Understanding of basic operation of meters, pumps, and high-speed mixers preferred.
• Must display ability to work independently, as well as in a team setting.
• Desire to learn and grow as an employee.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to lift, up to 50 pounds repetitively throughout the day.
• Attention to detail.
• Monitor inventory counts as needed.
• Provide additional backup support for other departments as needed.
• Responsible for training of new employees.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education:

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required

Experience:

• 3 plus years of experience in production operations/liquid fill.
• Bi-Lingual English/Spanish a plus.

Computer Skills:

• Computer skills not required for this position.

Certifications & Licenses:

• Certified to operate sit down diesel forklift.

Other Requirements:

• Must be able to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment.
• Must be able to manage multiple priorities.
• Must be able to work weekends as required.
• Understanding of blending procedures to include equipment utilization.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to lift, up to 50 pounds repetitively throughout the day.
• Ability to work in warm and cool climates inside the factory.
• Attention to detail.
• Monitor inventory counts as needed.

Compensation: Starting pay is $ 28.00 per hour.
