Job description

Performs recruiting/scheduling activities that facilitate Agency operations. These activities include coordination of employee schedules with client wants/needs, processing intake information, client and employees onboarding, and communication with referral sources.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process new client and caregiver onboarding documents.
  • Identify the best candidate to assign to client cases based on client needs and attributes.
  • Use company scheduling software to staff cases and ensure client needs are met in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all cases are adequately staffed to meet coverage needs.
  • Coordinate RN onboarding assessment visits and work with RN to development clients Plan of Care.
  • Provide timely notifications of schedules or schedule changes to employees, clients and supervisor.
  • Ensure client schedules are always accurate and up-to-date in the scheduling software.
  • Ensure caregivers clock in/out for every shift.
  • Monitor and mitigate employee overtime.
  • Manage caregiver scheduling calendar.
  • Take client referral calls and set up home visits to acquire new client business.
  • Work with existing clients to ensure their caregiving needs are met.
  • Reports any scheduling changes and/or client concerns to supervisor. Notifies client of changes and monitors employee performance in areas of dependability, responsiveness, punctuality, and client concerns.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Must possess thorough knowledge of home health practices, procedures, and professional standards of care.
  • Knowledge of “Generations Homecare System” software preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of home health care scheduling experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology or a general medical background preferred.
  • Previous experience of health agency intake processes preferred
  • Demonstrates strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Speaks, reads, writes legibly, and comprehends English.
  • Demonstrates time management, organizational skills, and ability to function with minimal direction.
  • Must be detailed oriented.
  • Must be a fast learner.

Ideal candidate is available Monday through Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm in the office (not a remote position). Also, available for on-call after hours and some weekends required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
