Position: Clinical Review Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant is a key member of the Clinical Review Specialist Team that is responsible for critical administrative day to day tasks associated with operations to deliver transformative kidney care.

Position Requirements

• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
• The position will be located in the company’s Brentwood, TN office
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), medical terminology
• Firm grasp on medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policies
• Knowledge of patient care and medical procedures
• Understanding and appreciation of patient privacy laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Exceptional customer service and professional communication skills, both written and verbal, required. Excellent organizational and time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail.
• Timely, reliable and contribute to team goals and outcomes by completing daily tasks.
• Technically savvy when handling video and audio meetings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office – predominately Excel
• Previous experience in medical front and back-office type settings

Roles and Responsibilities

• Process the Health Plan(s) and Contracted Provider(s) daily files and uploads for all acute and post-acute admissions
• Assist with inpatient and concurrent calls to verify and confirm admission and obtain member information
• Assist with monitoring of skilled nursing facility discharges
• Assist with transition of care calls to facility and/or member
• Assist with slide creation for daily case rounds with MDs.
• Assist with tasking for SNP Care Plan retrieval to be faxed to inpatient/post-acute facilities
• Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
• Other duties as assigned
