What you'll do:

GLCP is the underpinning of HPE GreenLake. It is the foundation of a rich set of HPE cloud services in networking, data services, high-performance computing, and compute operations management. It delivers a unified operational experience with single sign-on access, security, compliance, elasticity, and data protection.

As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you constantly seek innovative approaches to deliver end-to-end technical solutions to solve customer problems. You bring technical thinking to break down complex data and to engineer innovative ideas and methods for solving, prototyping, designing, and implementing cloud-based solutions. In addition, you collaborate with product managers, program managers, and scrum masters to ensure effective and efficient delivery, deployment, operation, monitoring, and support of your cloud-based products.

You might be a good fit if you consistently apply your subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues. Frequently, you contribute to the development of innovative ideas and methods. You've tackled complex problems where analyzing situations or data required an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. You led and provided expertise to functional engineering teams and participated in cross-functional initiatives. You offered direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. You also mentored and coached engineers less experienced than you.

The technology you'll interact with:

GLCP employs contemporary technologies typical of any sizeable cloud-native environment. We will invest in you, but we seek individuals with previous experience in any mix of the following:

• Golang

• Kubernetes

• Docker Swarm

• Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet

• Aha!

• Public cloud technologies, including those from AWS, GCP, and Azure

• GitHub

• Jira

• AI/ML suites

What you'll need:

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent

• Working, demonstrable knowledge of cloud-native development

• Five years+ as a software engineer, preferably having worked on cloud-based distributed architectures

• Working experience with CI/CD and open-source cloud development tools

• Persuasive communication skills (written and oral)

• Willingness to work with teams across time zones

What are some things we'd love to see:

• M.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent

• Experience with IAM products from Okta, Ping Identity, and others

• Knowledge of PKI, identity management, authentication, and authorization technologies

• Experience designing, implementing, scaling, and maintaining API gateways and other proxy infrastructure

• Experience as a project management, product owner, and scrum master experience
