ABOUT THE ROLE

Working as part of our Project & Program Management team, the Project Scheduler is responsible for the maintenance of an integrated Master Schedule within the Project Server for critical programs and projects. It will ensure project scheduling standards are met, resources are utilized effectively, and the timely production and analysis of reports are produced from Project Server. This role is all about managing relationships and demonstrating how you can add value.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate with Project Managers to compile, update, and maintain a Master Schedule per project/contract.
  • Compile, update, and maintain a payment schedule based on purchase orders and expected delivery dates.
  • Tracking of daily progress down to a task-level, ensuring compliance with the plan, and ensuring the project/contract stays on schedule.
  • Monitoring and updating projects/contracts to ensure they are maintained, agreed milestones are met, and resources are utilized effectively.
  • Develop and maintain project/contract schedule reports and KPI reports.
  • Provide weekly reports from the schedule compared to baseline.
  • Monitors, records, and reviews the project/contact progress and identifies corrective actions throughout the life of the project/contract.
  • Formulate & develop advanced scheduling methodology that gives continual workflow for the overall work projects/contracts.
  • Evaluate and escalate any forecasted constraints and/or risks associated to the plan/schedule.
  • Schedule change management (Log of changes and executive approval where applicable).
  • Interface with all relevant departments to ensure an accurate schedule is in place.
  • Provide efficient scheduling, advise, and support to the Project Managers.
  • Ensures adherence to schedules, deadlines, and project/contract milestones.
  • Coordinate inter-project dependencies including equipment and resource allocation.
  • Ensure that scheduling operates in accordance with the management systems.
  • Supports the organization's efforts towards continuous improvement.
  • Other schedule-related duties as assigned.

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management or Engineering or Construction or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years’ experience in Primavera
  • 3 years’ experience in P6 Scheduling
  • Extensive knowledge of CPM scheduling and planning
  • Minimum of 3-5 years project experience, with construction scheduling, construction management, and project controls
  • Ability to interpret contract specifications and drawings
  • Ability to understand contract procedures and principles, construction logic, and sequencing of complex projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and external purposes.
  • Excellent organizational skills, time management skills, and proven success in managing multiple concurrent projects
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for establishing rapport and managing relationships with various parties, including employees, contractors, and suppliers, and clients involved in the execution of an assigned project.
