Kitchen Staff- Cook Wellcome Manor Family Services – Garden City, MN (15 minutes South of Mankato, MN)

Wellcome Manor is seeking a part time and full time Cook to work in the kitchen of Wellcome Manor Family Services.

Wellcome Manor is offering a 500 dollar hiring bonus at 30 days for part time employees and 1,000 dollar hiring bonus for full time employees.

Regular duties include:

• Preparing and distributing breakfast, lunch, snack and supper.
• Responsible for unloading and organizing products from Second Harvest
• Have knowledge of and follow all MN State Health Department Rules and Statues guidelines.

· Follow all scheduling procedures and report to work on time and provide appropriate notice to the Kitchen Supervisor when unable to do so.

· Chart all significant events observed; both negative and positive regarding clients and their children

Required Skills:

Applicants should want to create a clean and friendly environment, have patience for all age groups, and be able to multitask. Applicants should be able to communicate well with others and be able to work as a team.

Required Experience:

· Must be free of chemical use problems for one year

· Understand and establish professional boundaries with clients and coworkers

· Pleasant and outgoing disposition

· Flexibility in accepting work assignments as needed.

· Able to handle sensitive situations in a calm, professional manner.

· Able to pass a MN DHS Background Study.

· Attain Food Manager Certification within 90 days of being hired (provided by WMFS)

· Experience working in the kitchen.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
