Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aerospace Cost Estimator to join our team. This position will initially be based in one location and may involve relocation to another site in the future. As an Aerospace Cost Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in generating accurate cost models, quote sheets, and bill of materials based on customers' engineering data and requirements. Your expertise will ensure compliant and competitive price quote proposals, as well as effective coordination with customers, intercompany departments, and suppliers.
Job Scope/Summary:
- Generate cost models, quote sheets, and indentured bill of materials based on customers' engineering data and requirements.
- Track and manage all tasks required to complete compliant customer price quote proposals.
- Coordinate with customers and intercompany departments to ensure the availability of pertinent engineering data.
- Collaborate with intercompany departments and outside suppliers to obtain material and subcontract services price quotes.
Job Qualifications/Requirements:
- 7-10 years of relevant experience and comprehensive knowledge of aerospace and defense manufacturing core concepts, techniques, and practices.
- Proficiency in interrogating and interpreting engineering specifications, technical drawings, and 3D models.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft applications preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Recommended for the Position:
- Preferred knowledge and understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements, specifically related to:TINA Compliant Proposals
Supporting cost and pricing data
- Familiarity with small business subcontracting practices.
