Pacira BioSciences, Inc. is committed to providing non-opioid options to patients with a mission to reduce overreliance on opioids. This role is at the forefront in ensuring Pacira’s iovera medical device products are meeting or exceeding customer expectations. You will work directly with Healthcare Professionals (HCP’s), including orthopedic surgeons and anesthesiologists, to resolve technology issues and gain feedback for continuous improvement of Pacira’s products. You will also work directly with R&D to develop new products and ensure the successful introduction of these new products to customers. We are looking for a talented individual to join the Pacira team and directly contribute to the future of pain management for HCP’s and their patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Become a subject matter expert on the technology, operation, and clinical applications for the iovera products
  • Provide timely, and at times onsite, technical support and guidance to the Commercial team and their customers
  • Collaborate with Pacira’s cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and respond to technical issues experienced by Health Care Professionals (HCP’s)
  • Develop and maintain excellent communication pathways and working relationships with key customer accounts

Interaction:

  • This individual will work closely with internal colleagues in R&D, quality, manufacturing, sales, marketing, clinical and training. Externally, interactions will include healthcare professionals such as physicians and physician’s assistants.

Education/Experience:

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical. Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 2 years of experience in an R&D, product engineering, or technical support role in the medical device industry

Preferred requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Biomedical Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience working directly with HCP’s in a clinical environment
  • 5+ years of experience in an R&D, product engineering, or technical support role in the medical device industry

Qualifications

  • Exceptional customer interaction and communication skills
  • Ability to develop trust and foster open lines of communication with customers
  • Ability to understand complex electro-mechanical medical device technology
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills; ability to make sound decisions in time-critical situations
  • Team player – ability to work and communicate effectively with internal cross-functional team members
  • Ability to travel 40% - 50%
