STATUS: PART-TIME (NON-EXEMPT)

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Aquatics Technician is responsible for assisting the General Manager with the overall Aquatics operations of the Caporella Aquatic Center and the Water's Edge Splash Pad. This role will prepare the facilities for the day's demands, assist with chemical and pool operations, complete daily reports and possibly help with programming and training of staff if qualified.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Directly aligns with the Caporella Mission Statement and Core Values
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the entire facility
- Leads and coordinates the organizational and administrative aspects of all aquatics programming
- Record keeping of all logs, files, reports, communications, and electronic data
- Maintains a high standard of cleanliness throughout the facility and surrounding areas
- Assists with conducting aquatics safety audits and reporting
- Completes other duties as assigned by leadership and/or General Manager
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS:
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatics Facility Operator (AFO) certification or earned within 60 days of hire with in-house class
- Experience and success in customer service, leadership, and team building
- Action-oriented personality with a 'get it done' attitude and proficiency for efficiency
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years' experience of aquatics facility management is preferred
- Requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must have strong leadership skills
- Must be detail-oriented and have outstanding organizational skills
- Ability to maintain focus in a high-volume, fast paced environment
- Must be at least 18 years of age
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds waist high
- May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop, or bend
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work in direct sunlight and be exposed to outside weather conditions
- The Team Member could be exposed to cleaning chemicals and must be handled with extreme caution
