Work for one of the south's most renowned research hospitals right here in Dothan! The University of Alabama at Birmingham has launched an exciting multi-location research program in a joint effort between the Department of Genetics, Division of Preventative Medicine and the School of Medicine. This project will target the overall health of Alabamians by focusing on personalized medicine and encouraging them to take an active role in their health.

This position will be responsible for recruiting and retaining research participants by networking and providing community education.

Major Functions:

• Act as liaison between medical staff, various departments and study participants
• Conduct audits to ensure quality assurance by collecting and analyzing data
• Provide guidance and encouragement to other team members and act as a mentor to student assistants when necessary
• Assist with the creation and implementation of SOP's and continuous improvement processes
• Develop processes for recruitment and retention of participants
• Maintain a high level of organization within the department and in the collection of data, specimens, progress tracking and records

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in a health science related field
• Minimum of (3) years related work experience
• Must have a high attention to detail with strong organizational skills
• Must be able to effectively communicate with research staff, participants and all research partners

This position offers a salary commensurate with experience along with a competitive benefits package.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
