POSITION OVERVIEW
The position is responsible for several aspects of development and asset management of employee housing at our resorts. This encompasses but to be developed and owned properties.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Leading site/location identification of housing sites, entitlement, design, implementation and asset management. There will be significant inter-company interface on financing, programming and asset management of completed facilities.
Responsible for the execution of resort housing development including planning, program, design development, cost management, construction oversight
Physical planning – Assist in creating a sense of place through scale, circulation, and product diversification
Operation programming – Project scoping
Design oversight management – Scope containment
Project execution planning – Critical path scheduling
Contract management - Buying work efficiently
Work closely with Resort Executive Team in developing strategic plans to satisfy housing supply and demand. Development of annual capital growth strategies for both acquisition and facility re-investment to maintain minimum standard quality of the facilities.
Understand the business drivers from concept to operating asset.
A proven track record in the ability to nurture and maintain strong relationships with local government agencies, community-based organizations, and local and regional environmental groups.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Planning / Environmental Design Architecture, or related technical design field.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years experience in evaluating, entitling and executing development projects.
Clear understanding of how assets are operationalized is a plus
Strong financial background in evaluating project feasibility.
A proven design acumen.
Experience in resort planning, feasibility and design on single asset and master plan developments.
A firm understanding in all phases of planning, seeking operational programming requirements, financing and vertical building development projects including strategy, approvals, sales and marketing, construction, and delivery.

Ability to formally present and explain detailed project plans to stakeholders.
Strong understanding of proformas, financial statements and budgets.
The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Alterra Mtn Co Shared Services Inc. salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Alterra Mtn Co Shared Services Inc.’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.
Denver area base salary range: $118,000 - $177,000 per year
