About The Role

The Director of Creator Growth will report to the ShopYourLikes GM and is a senior role with a key voice and seat at the table. Growing our creator community is a top priority at SYL, and we seek a passionate individual to lead the charge. This role will lead and build the creator acquisition team, personally engage and close high revenue potential creators, test and develop outreach strategies, and help shape product, process, and strategy for the division. This is a classic player-coach role, where in addition to doing you will also be mentoring a team to succeed. Responsibilities Include

  • Leading and building the creator acquisition team to fuel community growth for SYL
  • Achieving and exceeding sales goals through personal contribution and motivating a team to reach their individual targets
  • Reporting on progress toward goals, both financial metrics and other leading indicators for success
  • Developing outreach strategies for key creator types, including testing of value propositions by segment
  • Testing and optimizing a variety of communication types (1:many vs. 1:1 email, 1:1 direct messaging, local in person events, etc.)
  • Collaborating with growth marketing and product teams to provide feedback on both successes and areas for improvement
  • Building strong relationships with our account management organization, who will drive the onboarding and growth of new creators on the SYL platform
  • Identifying market trends and opportunities, then partnering with executive leadership to improve our product/service offering and capture market share

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of professional sales or business development experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in the creator industry
  • Passionate about e-commerce and the creator ecosystem
  • Demonstrated ability to grow a P&L by building connections and closing business
  • Proven ability to manage and grow a team
  • Phenomenal communication skills and attention to detail
  • Energetic personality and individual who loves to make new connections
  • Experience working cross functionally with exec leadership, product, ops, and marketing

The pay range for this position is $135,000 - 150,000K+. The pay offered may vary depending on several factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in a bonus/commission plan. This position is considered hybrid, our preference is that you are able to commute 1 day/week in our Santa Monica office.
