Oak View Group is looking for a Sales Director to join the Global Partnerships team selling integrated programs for our conferences and lead partnership efforts across our live/virtual events and print/digital platforms. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter, has relationships with key national entertainment, live industry, facility and tech clients, extensive digital/social/experiential experience, excellent communication and presentation skills, is creative thinker, and an energetic seller who is confident and comfortable calling on both the client and the agency on all levels. The Sales Director will have media sales experience and relationships in the b2b and consumer brands and will manage out of Los Angeles or New York office, preferably (but open to remote) for Pollstar, VenuesNow and Global Partnerships.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Sponsorship-first sales experience with proven ability to close at a high rate
  • Ability to create big ideas and drive sales across all platforms
  • Approach clients with a solution-based approach
  • Ability to grow business and develop new revenue and product opportunities
  • Create partnerships with entertainment industry organizations
  • Perform well in a competitive and collaborative environment
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong negotiation and presentation skills a must
  • Must be flexible and move with a high sense of urgency when opportunities strike
  • Be proactive and prepare proposals via the RFP process. Maintain constant contact with client before, during, and after the sale to establish and positively manage/grow the business relationship
  • Ability to coordinate the efforts of individuals from multiple business units to accomplish the goals of the company
Requirements:

Required Skills/ Experience:

  • BA/BS degree
  • 7-10 years of sponsorship sales and print/digital media sales experience
  • Proficient in Salesforce CRM a plus
  • Computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Salary: $85,000-95,000
