Job description

GLIC Electrical is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join our team for primarily residential and some light commercial projects. This position is responsible for ensuring estimates are accurate, completed on time, and support financial objectives. The ideal candidate should be someone who enjoys working with customers to help them find the best solutions to electrical project needs.

Responsibilities

• Visit job sites and pre-construction meetings to obtain vital information for the bidding process
• Determine the amount, type, and cost of materials and fixtures needed for each electrical project as well as the amount of labor required to complete each project
• Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing blueprints, plans and specifications and take-offs
• Determine the potential profitability of electrical projects in making sound bidding decisions
• Complete and submit competitive project bids in accordance with established guidelines
• Follow up on potential opportunities with customers to determine needs and pre-qualify opportunities
• Effectively collaborate with team members to deliver the best possible solution
• Follow up with customers and ensure high levels of client satisfaction
• Communicate with customers to define the project scope, address deficiencies, negotiate pricing and build relationships
• Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective completion of projects

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $80,000.00 per year
