Electrical Service Estimator / Estimator/ Project Manager
Job description
City and Suburban Electric LLC is looking for a person who desires to work in a “family like” environment and help build a strong reputation as a quality Electrical Contractor in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. We are a family owned and operated company based in Lebanon, Oregon. City and Suburban Electric has been a part of the community for almost 30 years and we are a service orientated shop in the residential and commercial markets with some industrial mixed in. Service Estimator/ Estimator / Project Manager
Have and maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a DMV records check.
Must pass drug test and criminal background check.
Prior experience as Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician is preferred.
Experience as an estimator is required.
Experience evaluating and estimating design/build projects is preferred.
Knowledgeable and competent in Value Engineering.
Knowledge of the NEC, local codes, and construction methods.
Posses a strong work ethic.
Must be able to manage jobs in progress while actively bidding future work.
Must possess concrete knowledge of structural, architectural and mechanical systems and their impact on electrical scope.
Capable of accurately taking off/evaluating all electrical systems. Systems include lighting, lighting control, electrical devices, fire alarm systems, nurse call, A/V, modular wiring, grounding, motor and equipment connections, generators, power distribution equipment, feeders, UPS, etc.
Recognize/identify potential discrepancies and errors in documents and develop RFI’s for timely response.
Must be able to review BOM of subcontracts, suppliers and material quotes; determine completeness, compliance with bid documents; make recommendations.
Knowledge and experience with Accubid, Microsoft Word, Excel and be willing to learn other processes.
Effective communication skills and ability to work with others is a must.
Develop and nurture subcontractors/vendor and client relationships.
Be able to prepare comprehensive bids with general conditions, and effectively communicate scope inclusions/exclusions to potential customers.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
