Full-time competitive employment opportunity – less than 10% of applicants are hired. Seeking serious applicants only. 40-hour work week, weekdays 7am – 4pm.

Home technology industry is seeking hard-working applicants willing to learn and eager to start a career in the THOUSAND OAKS area.

This position requires physical activity indoors and outside; climbing ladders, working in tight spaces, crawling in attics, manual dexterity, lifting and carrying up to 70 lbs., working with power tools, and more.

Home technology involves everything electronic in the home, and the industry is HOT. High-end installation companies are leading the trend putting customized, over-the-top systems in luxury homes. You can get in without experience and be on your way to a fast-paced career.

Apprentices are in high demand by local employers. There’s no better way to leave fast food work, factory labor, delivery driving, or the military to enter a high-paying, rewarding career. Apprentice pay starts at $18 - $24 per hour, with milestone advancement raises. Top technicians in this industry earn $35+/hour.

APPLY, take an assessment, 25-minutes total, if selected, have a virtual Meet & Greet with a PrepTECH career coach. If advanced, you will move to the next step; a second assessment, 30-minutes total. If chosen, next is a virtual Interview with the PrepTECH CEO. When accepted into the program, we work with you to create a Candidate Profile, your “Golden Ticket” to become an apprentice. Eager-to-hire employers will interview you for an open apprentice position.

Once hired, you will start as Apprentice 1, receive on-the-job training, online training and will be directed through a specific skills development path. As an Apprentice 2, you will add advanced skills that lead to becoming a Home Electronic Systems Technician Level 1, with wage increases along the way.
