Salary: $89,663 - $98,827

Location: 33 N. High St. Columbus, OH

Position Summary:

COTA's EDI Manager performs professional work providing support to the Chief Equity Officer. Reports to the EDI Director and assist in developing and implementing the organizations diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and aligning initiatives with business strategies & metrics focusing on people, practices, policies that focus on opportunity and access.

Performs duties in alignment with the 2019 - 2024 COTA Strategic Plan and in support of the organization's vision To Move Every Life Forward.

This Position is Responsible For:

  • Assist in researching, developing, recommending, and executing creative strategies to foster the organization's diversity, equity, and inclusion goals.
  • Reviews current practices and policies, assessing and analyzing the extent to which they support or hinder the COTA's equity, diversity, and inclusion goals;
  • Collects and analyzes statistical data to evaluate COTA's population in accordance with equity, diversity, and inclusion standards and goals.
  • Maintains knowledge of equity, diversity, and inclusion related issues, legislation, and best practices;
  • Serve as an ambassador and advocate for inclusive and equitable initiatives.
  • Evaluates and analyzes feedback measuring the effectiveness and ROI of programs and processes in meeting business goals. This includes defining metrics for measuring the effectiveness of initiatives implemented and reporting progress to stakeholders;
  • Assist in supervision and management of the ERG's to support and enhance the effectiveness of programs;
  • Build relationships and execute programming with internal teams and external organizations focused on empowering underrepresented groups;
  • Assists EDI Director in managing and developing partnerships with external organizations (i.e., Franklin County Board of Commissioners and City of Columbus) to establish EDI best practices, as well as attract DBE businesses to work with COTA;
  • Supports EDI Program Management by assisting in the creation and follow-up of project plans and deliverables, and mapping them to relevant stakeholders;
  • Audits and reports on project results on a regular basis; monitors and identifies risks and open issues in projects;
  • Coordinates special projects and helps drive and supports the execution of major division and organization initiatives as needed;
  • May arranges public & on-site meetings with outside entities;
  • May assists in managing interns by providing guidance and direction;
  • Ensures the organization meets its EDI responsibilities by assisting in identifying problem areas, participating in local minority organizations, participating in review of complaints alleging discrimination, and supporting career counseling for employees. Takes corrective action as necessary, on a timely basis, and in accordance with policy; and
  • Regular, predictable and punctual attendance required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

At Minimum You'll Need:

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in EDI or related area. An equivalent combination of education and experience in business or public administration will also be considered.
