What you’ll do at Insight

  • The Systems Engineer will be responsible for the maintenance, general operations, and troubleshooting of client Microsoft Exchange server infrastructure.
  • Responsible for designing, administering, and establishing system standards for messaging and communication team solutions including, but not limited to:
    • Microsoft Exchange Online/On-prem and email security
  • Performs break/fix troubleshooting, server/software updates and feature enhancements to MS Exchange and Exchange servers, as well as general IT Windows infrastructure.
  • Responds and solves customer issues utilizing technology tools, procedures, and training through awareness of service offerings and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Maintains current knowledge of core service offerings and SLAs. Understands all Logical service offerings to better support customer as well as engaging opportunity in expanding any service offering to better service our current customers.
  • Monitor trends and problems to spot a pattern and recommend new standards or process changes.
  • Assist in providing technology best practices to the client.
  • Creates and maintains technical and process documentation. Propose Knowledge changes and update existing process documents.
  • Collaborate with Internal resources, customer, third party vendor to solve complicated issues or as part of a project.
  • Provides technical expertise and guidance to Services technicians.
  • Maintain quality and timely ticket updates.
  • Root Cause Analysis as required.
  • Interface with on-site client end-users and leadership

What you’ll need to join Insight

General requirements:

  • At least 3-5+ years of experience in Exchange Systems Administration/Engineering, NOC operations, remote trouble shooting, customer management and other related IT services experience.
  • Extensive experience with O365 Mail flow and interaction between OnPrem and Exchange
  • Must have Experience in Exchange 2013 to 2019 as well as Exchange Online (M365)
  • Extensive experience with ADFS, AADC, and Active Directory
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Powershell for Exchange and server management.
  • Experience with migrations from on-prem into a cloud environment
  • Cloud Solutions, Hypervisor, VM, and general virtualization experience
  • Experience with SMTP gateways/routing, DNS, TCP/IP, Modern Authentication, Active Directory user and group management, group policy.
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience troubleshooting system performance issues.
  • Experience writing best practiced and SOP documentation.
  • Able to work in an environment characterized by rapidly changing requirements and an ongoing focus on meeting operational objectives
  • Effective communications skills
  • Able to successfully manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization, including c-suite level with both technical and non-technical individuals
  • Ability to adhere to company policies and operating principles
  • Position is on-prem at a client location so high professionalism is required

Preferred

  • Industry recognized certifications. ITIL, Microsoft technology certificates, others.
  • Experience supporting or working in an Enterprise and/or Global Managed Services environment.
  • Experience with ServiceNow a plus.

The base salary range for this position is typically $110,000 to $125,000 with additional benefits available. However, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, including experience and location, and we will also consider candidates outside of this range as necessary.
