Shift: 12hr Day or Night – 7Day/Week Availability Required
City: Easton
State: Pennsylvania
Specific Duties:
Responsible for start-up, shut down and safe and efficient operation of extruders.
Responsible for screen changes, roll changes, minor process adjustments and basis weight and gauge measurement on each roll.
Responsible for changing pipes leading to different materials.
Responsible for preventative maintenance assessments including checking for leaks in hoses, ensuring filters are clean, ensuring tanks have adequate water supply, and ensuring heat exchangers have adequate oil supply. Make recommendations for necessary repairs and adjustments.
Responsible for monitoring machines for proper operating conditions and ensure efficient operation of the extruder.
Responsible for recording daily sheet and roll production and weight samples.
Responsible for measuring gauge, orientation, cell size and basis weight of each roll of product along will filling out roll tickets.
Responsible for making resin blend changes and adjustments.
Responsible for monitoring storage silos to ensure proper levels and making adjustments as needed.
Responsible for lifting up to 50 lbs of product.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Must have at least two years of previous mechanical experience through work at Ecopax or schooling.
Must have at least two years of previous experience with basic hand tools.
Must be able to climb ladders/scaffolding occasionally.
Must be able to work in an environment of 90 to 105 degrees.
Good work history required.
Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
